Biography

Gordon T. Arnold
Managing Partner

Gordon is the Managing Partner at Arnold & Saunders, LLP, assisting clients develop intellectual property and commercialization strategy. For over 20 years, he has represented a variety of enterprises in many industries. Gordon has counseled clients in litigation, both in the United States and internationally, on valuation and enhancement of IP portfolios, as well as on avoiding infringement. He is past Chair of the American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law. Gordon has been the Chair of the Patent Policy Committee of the ABA and represented the section in congressional meetings on funding of the Patent and Trademark Office and the pending patent reform legislation. He is also a past-president of the Houston Intellectual Property Law Association, a past Chair of the Patent Law Committee of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and previously served on the Board of Directors of that organization. Gordon is also the Founding Master of the Houston Intellectual Property Inn of Court. He is a Sustaining Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a Fellow Committee Member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas and his JD from the University of Houston College of Law. Gordon was an Associate Editor of the Houston Journal of International Law and an intern to the late Hon. Norman Black of the Southern District of Texas.
